Lessons
Private and group western/barrel lessons are available to both beginner
and intermediate riders. Lessons are for
ages five and up. Students learn to not only communicate with their
horse or horse provided by Luella Stables on their back, but on the
ground as well. Lessons are an hour long
including tacking and un-tacking. Some
lessons will be from the ground including lounging your horse, bathing
your horse and trimming the horse’s main, bridle path and ears and also
how to safely trailer and un-trailer your horse.
Students learn to clean their tack and keep organized, clean
stalls, and to care for basic cuts and infections a horse may have.
Students learn to control their horse in the woods and open
fields as well as in the arena. You will
receive an overall experience of how it is to have your own horse.
Students will start
one on one with the riding instructor for the same price as a group
lesson. At the time in which the riding
instructor chooses to place a student in a group with other students on
the same level and the student chooses to stay in private lessons the
cost will raise to $45.00. Private lessons: $45/hr
